The International Institute of Technology, Education, and Leadership (IITEL) continued its international engagement through a keynote presentation delivered by Founder and Executive Director, Dr. Karla Bailey, at an international conference in South Korea.

The keynote, "From Innovation to Integrity: Ethical AI, Global Business, and the Future of Transnational Scholarship," examined how generative artificial intelligence is transforming research, scholarly publishing, and international academic collaboration.

Drawing upon current research and emerging practices from around the world, Dr. Bailey challenged participants to consider how institutions can embrace innovation while maintaining the principles that underpin high-quality scholarship—integrity, transparency, accountability, and intellectual rigor.

The presentation explored the growing responsibility of researchers, educators, editors, and institutions to develop clear expectations for the ethical use of AI throughout the research lifecycle. Discussions emphasized that responsible AI integration requires more than technological proficiency; it requires thoughtful leadership and a renewed commitment to the values that sustain scholarly inquiry.

The keynote also provided an opportunity to engage with researchers and academic leaders from around the world, strengthening international dialogue on the future of research, publishing, and higher education.

The engagement reflects IITEL's commitment to contributing to international conversations that help institutions navigate technological change while strengthening research excellence and global collaboration.

"The future of scholarship will not be defined by artificial intelligence alone, but by our collective commitment to protecting the integrity of knowledge."

— Dr. Karla Bailey, Founder & Executive Director, IITEL
