IITEL Contributes to German–U.S. AI Policy Roundtable

The International Institute of Technology, Education, and Leadership (IITEL) participated in a German–U.S. AI Policy Roundtable focused on the opportunities and challenges associated with governing artificial intelligence across international contexts.

The roundtable convened researchers, policymakers, educators, and technology leaders to explore how governments and institutions can develop policies that encourage innovation while protecting human rights, privacy, transparency, and public trust.

Representing IITEL, Founder and Executive Director Dr. Karla Bailey contributed perspectives drawn from her work with educational institutions and public-sector organizations, emphasizing the importance of governance frameworks that are practical, adaptable, and grounded in institutional mission rather than technology alone.

Discussions highlighted the increasingly global nature of AI governance and the need for continued collaboration across countries and sectors.
